Cool design. The ergonomics are nice and the design is compact. Looks like it would be very suited for CQB (Close Quarters Battle) in urban terrain.
The medium length does put this rifle into the carbine category. Kind of looks like it could fire electromagnetic rounds (like a railgun).
The back of the weapon system could use some sort of stock for stabilization during acquisition and engagement. You could integrate a retractable system. When retracted into the weapon system it could fit cleanly behind the firing handle if the operator did not need the stock during unique situations.
Is the fore grip of the gun designed to attach equipment or additional weapons?
I like what you said we'll go with that. yeh the front is designed for extra attachments, grenade launchers, knives, power drills, small shotguns, etc. yeh theres alot i should, could and want to change, lil details. but was trying to keep my self in a strict time frame and i didnt want to go over that otherwise i could have gone on forever, fiddling and making it more "ergonomic" and "usable" lol. thank you for the interest.
Heh you bet. It's a great looking design. I know what you mean about continually fiddling with a design but when there are variants, mods, and future designs it's very tempting to keep going.
I like challenging myself with a time constraint. Reminds me of an impromptu challenge, you have to design purely from what you are thinking about at that moment. Sometimes you can draw something new out of the design and sometimes you just find a new configuration to play with and discover afterward.
